.fun

.fun put on an awesome show tonight at the 9:30 Club! .fun opened for Jack's Mannequin which seems like an odd pairing to me, but I was happy to see .fun again so soon after their set at Jammin' Java last year.

One of the highlights of the show?
Early in the show Nate made the comment that he wanted to impregnate the audience with his music. Then, maybe 15 - 20 minutes later, at the very end of The Gambler, at the dramatic pause, a male in the audience shouts "I'm pregnant!" Which, and I am not normally a fan of heckling, but that was one of the best heckles I have ever heard! This throws Nate off and he starts laughing. Once he recovers, he replies in all seriousness "I am not paying child support." and then finishes the song. It was awesome!

It was a great night for me; in addition to getting The Gambler (which is based on his parents, btw) we also got All the Pretty Girls (my favorite .fun song) and At Least I'm Not As Sad (As I Use To Be). So my top three .fun songs all in one condense package. The whole set was only about 35 minutes, so way too short, but a little bit of .fun is better than none, right? :-)
